is to provide a forum for the free interchange of ideas, views
and experiences through state-of-the-art presentations aimed at
advancing the science and practice of earthquake engineering.
"Reducing
Earthquake Risk and Encouraging Preparedness - Who is Responsible?"
This conference theme wassupported by a Keynote Presentation
given by Dr Roger Blakeley, Secretary for Internal Affairs and
Civil Defence, and various related papers. There are also Study
Group reports and papers on other associated topics.
